| Coral Sea Holiday Village (Nabq Area, Sharm El Sheikh) | - | But one VERY good thing to mention is how switched on they are with diets. I am Coeliac and First Choice had informed the Hotel of this. On our second day we were invited to a meeting with the head chef. We didn't do this, as by that time I was very happy with the whole eating thing. In the main buffet restaurant there was always an area well signed with a selection of Wheat Free food, including at least two main dishes, Bread rolls and two deserts. When we booked the Al Carte restaurants, the chef came out and told me exactly what items on the Menu I could eat. Amazing! Why can't the UK be so well informed? However, we would like to go back again to this complex. At this time of year too. We will just be more aware of which blocks we stay in and perhaps have to pay a bit more for that! |
| Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort (Ras Um El-Sid Cliff, Sharm El Sheikh) | - | I really would like to rekommend Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort for the excellent and warm service, beautiful enviroment, great food with an extraordinary chef! He helped my mum as she is allergic to gluten with elegance, love and understanding. She was served a special dessert every time! I also would like to recommend the very nice hostesses called Latifa and Neama, two friendly, warm women that always helped. | Hilton Sharks Bay Resort (Sharks Bay, Sharm El Sheikh) | - | My wife and I stayed here from Christmas Eve until New Years Eve and honestly could not complain about one factor of the holiday! Having stayed at various 5 Star resorts around the Med. we decided on the Hilton for a Christmas break due to the guarantee of warm weather and the fact it was all inclusive. I had read previous reviews and was aware that the 'New side' backed onto a section of the airport so noise was an issue to some, however we were located in the old side and we both preferred this side to the experiences we had in the newer side. The reception staff were busy but very efficient and we checked in within a couple of minutes and the golf buggy took both ourselves and the cases to the room and we were back into the restaurant within the hour for a nice Christmas Eve lunch and wine! During the day if you fancied a snack the sunset bar was ideal, they had some good tables looking over the sea and beach and had various specials available every day as well as toasted sandwiches, salads and hot dogs/burgers etc. all free and a well stocked bar! My wife has certain dietary requirements and bought her own gluten free breads etc. and the staff were more than happy to use these and make a snack for her that she could eat! Albeit an all inclusive hotel and plenty of meal time options, it does get a bit samey but then again they are catering for all types of people from all over the world so you can't expect a la carte every night, we met the catering manager via reception and he would fetch the chef out every time and in turn would cook up something special for my wife that she could eat and after a few days the waiters instantly knew and would go out of their way to help (especially Mohammed in the Mahfouz!) Neither of us experienced any dodgy stomachs through eating and always ate very well, well worth a try though is the House of Asia in the new side, its not part of the all inclusive but for value for money absolutely spot on! We did try booking it a few times whilst there and was told they were fully booked so one night in the new side we were having a drink in the Q Bar and decided to chance it and they managed to fit us straight in so I would recommend being persistent. All in all fantastic time hide by us both (especially seeing Santa on a Camel Christmas Day) and if you get chance have a walk down to Soho Square, nice hassle free shopping and some good bars and a club for the late nights!

| Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort (Beach Resort, Sharm El Sheikh) | - | We have just returned from a 10 day break at the Rennaisance and we were blown away with the service and surroundings. My husband stays at the Renaissance each April to dive and is always very happy to return there but this was my first visit. I was dignosed with Coeliac Disease 18 months ago and since then travelling abroad and eating out has ceased to be a pleasure and has become a nuisance and a worry. However, the restauarant manager, the chef and his team and the staff in all the restaurants within the hotel were unbelievable in their help, vigilance and total care with my welfare and my food, regularly 'rustling up' additional food just for me. I did manage to thank the head chef personally before I left but sadly didn't get to see all the others who had made my stay such a total pleasure and completely worry-free. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody, particularly those with special dietary needs. You can really expect the VIP treatment! Aside from the amazing staff, the hotel is immaculately clean, fairly quiet, very friendly indeed and has more than ample grounds, gardens, pools, beach space, etc. to keep you exploring for weeks! Thank you for a really exceptional service and a lovely holiday. My husband will be back in April, as will I if I can manage it!!
