Moevenpick Resort and Spa Karon Beach

This is our second visit to this hotel and the second time was as good as the first. There is a great variety of accommodation from luxury garden villas with plunge pool to the standard hotel room in a block with sea and garden views. Friendly and helpful staff with good English giving good service. The buffet breakfast is outstanding with some kind of food to suit all tastes. Needing to eat Gluten Free The Executive chef Mr Ameer was very mindful of these difficult dietary requirements, for 14 days the Gluten Free food he provided was exceptional and he supplied varieties of food Gluten free that I had not eaten for 25 years. I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

It was a very long journey from London to Koh Lanta. However I found the 2 hour trip from Krabbi to the hotel itself so exciting and it went so quickly.

I am a Coeliac which I had advised the hotel when I booked. The head chef in one of the restaurants approached me at breakfast the first morning and arranged for me to have gluten free bread made for me twice a day. He also ensured that the food I received was gluten free. The staffs in the restaurants were also very helpful. After a first visit to each restaurant they remembered my room number and ensured that my bread arrived to whichever restaurant I was eating in. They were also very careful to ensure my food was gluten free.

The staff could not do enough for you, whether it was on the beach, by the pool or anywhere else in the hotel, including bringing water, fruit juice and fruit on sticks to you when you were at the pool or beach. They made me feel very special.

The views from the rooms were lovely looking out to sea. This was my first holiday on my own and I couldn't have picked a better resort. I would love to go back every year but now my partner and friends want to come with me but I wouldn't want to spoil my little piece of paradise...
