This gem, which must be the northernmost Indian restaurant in the world, has consistently served excellent food. Over several visits, I had a fish entree, a vegetarian entree, a chicken entree, papadams with lovely chutneys, and the special Indian Mango Rice with coconut, raisins and mango; all were wonderful. Lamb entrees are also available (and Icelandic lamb is always delectable.) The special one night was guillemot, which I regret not having, but I had my heart set on something else.
The owner takes pride in the fact that all the food in the restaurant is gluten-free, and all except the yogurt raitas are lactose-free. When I rave about Indan Mango to locals, the usual response is "Oh yes. We really like that place." I'm giving it four stars for value only because I'm from Wisconsin and am suffering severe "sticker shock" for virtually everything in Iceland. Highly recommended. I will go there again before I depart Iceland.
