Clarion Hotel
Ringvägen, Stockholm View On Map
We stayed at the Clarion Hotel during our trip to Stockholm to play minigolf for Great Britain. We had highlighted a Gluten Free/Coeliac breakfast on our booking and found there to be a special section in the breakfast buffet area for Gluten Free and Lactose Free Foods, including cereals, milk, crackers etc.

Hotel Rival
Sodermalm, Stockholm View On Map
The Hotel Rival in Sodermalm was a perfect retreat for us. The hotel is owned by Benny Andersson. Yes, that's right, the second "B" in ABBA and our hotel room reminded us of this fact with the giant ABBA poster above the bed and the ABBA Greatest Hits CD available for our listening pleasure. I couldn't resist dancing around the room to Dancing Queen at least once! This hotel receives five stars from us for so many reasons: great breakfast, comfortable rooms and great service.

After our first night there I woke up very happy and well rested. The room was very comfortable and so quiet too. On our last night there our neighbours had a little party in their room at 2 am and when I complained the hotel staff took it very seriously and took care of it within minutes - I was very impressed.

I also emailed the hotel a few days in advance to ask if they could accommodate my gluten free requirements and they were quick to respond. I was thrilled to have a great selection of gluten free treats after I asked the kitchen staff on my first breakfast their. The soy latte was also great.

And the location was perfect too! The only problem was that we only stayed 3 nights... see you next time!
